RACE DAY ACTIVITIES

The Run With Wolfes is an event for the entire family. A time to support our community, honor the memories of those lost, encourage the survivors, educate our children, and help foster research to fight and cure brain cancer.

We look forward to a meaningful and enjoyable day!

ABOUT THE EVENT

The 5KRun/Walk is a fun and inspiring way to join forces in the fight against brain cancer by raising funds for a research fellowship at the Carbone Cancer Center at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Your support gives brain cancer patients and their families the hope of moving one step closer to advancing research, determining a successful method for early detection, and discovering a cure.

Approximately 23,300 brain tumors will be diagnosed each year, and of that figure, 4,300 are expected to be discovered in children under the age of 20 years old. Second to leukemia, brain tumors are the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in children under the age of 20 and in males from ages 20 to 39. Brain tumors kill more people under the age of 40 than any other cancer.

LAURA’S GIFT OF LIFE

In conjunction with the BloodCenter of Wisconsin and with funds raised through the generosity of friends and family, this video honors Laura’s life-saving legacy.
